Convocation of 8th batch of NDEP held on 22nd September 2019

“The person with diabetes who knows the most live longest” thus, empowering people with knowledge through educators is the need of the hour. National Diabetes Educators Program (NDEP) is a 10 module course, which trains doctors, nutritionists, pharmacists, nurses etc free of cost to become a certified diabetes educators. This is conducted at DCRC since last 9yrs. This is backed by Dr. Mohan Diabetes Education Academy (DMDEA), Chennai and the Indian Association of Diabetes educators (IADE). The course directors are Dr. V. Mohan, Chennai, Dr. Shashank Joshi and Dt. Shilpa Joshi, Mumbai. Sunil’s Diabetes Care n’ Research Centre Pvt. Ltd (DCRC), is the only regional centre in this part of the country. The convocation ceremony for the students of 8th batch of NDEP was conducted on Sunday 22nd September 2019 at Hotel Centre Point, Nagpur. Dr. Sunil and Dr. Kavita Gupta are Regional Trainers. More than 160 students of all over Vidarbha have been trained Free till date. Dr. Gupta said that every good medical practitioner should have a diabetes educator who can simplify the understanding of the ailment and explains the treatment to have the best compliance from the patients.

The Convocation program was chaired by Chief Guest Dr. S.M. Patil, Sr. Physician, Dr. Suhas Erande, Pune & Dr. Tarun Mishra, Raipur, Dr.Sunil Gupta, & Dr. Kavita Gupta, Director, DCRC. Vote of thanks was proposed by Dr. Kavita Gupta. The program was conducted by Dr. Sarita Ugemuge & Parvinder Bamrah. Team DCRC worked hard for the success of the program. Amita Pillewar, Aishwarya Futane, Khushboo Sawalkar, Komal Khemka, Kajal Kesharwani, Muskan Punshi, Neelima Kamane, Neha Darwekar, Pallavi Joshi, Razia Taherali, Shalini Kotamkar, Shefali Kumar, Shivangi Navik, Shreyashi Saha, Sneha Jain, Sheetal Kohli, Dr.Ved Sarangpure, Vidhi Thakral, Varsha Parkhi were awarded the Diabetes educators certificate.
