“Diabetes Who Knows The Most – Live Longest”- Dr. Sunil Gupta.

“A Person with Diabetes, if empowered with evidences-based knowledge can live healthy and happy life for longer than others” said by Diabetologist Dr. Sunil Gupta during a Public Education Program.

Organized on the occasion of World Diabetes Day (WDD) by, Sunil’s Diabetes Care n’ Research Center Pvt.Ltd (DCRC), Diabetes Care Foundation of India (DCFI) & Saathi Haath Badhana Swayam Sanstha at Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Garden, Suyog Nagar, Nagpur.

This year theme of WDD is “The Family and Diabetes”. Family support in diabetes care has been shown to have a substantial effect in improving health outcomes for people with diabetes. It is therefore important that ongoing diabetes self-management education and support be accessible to all people with diabetes and their families to reduce the emotional impact of the disease that can result in a negative quality of life.

During the program, Dr. Sunil Gupta, Director, DCRC educated people regarding diabetes and its consequences. Kavita Gupta, Nutritionist and Diabetes Educator explained about diet and Diabetes. Free blood sugars and blood pressure of more than 300 persons.

Mr. Rajubhau Gonde and Vivek Nagrare cordinated the program, during the program, Mrs. Vishaka Mohod, Corporator, Nagpur, Mrs. Jayshree Wadibhasme, Corporator, Nagpur, Shri. Dattopant Pattiwar, Shri Shabhunathji Pande, R. D. Parashar, Gohane, Digamber Kamble, Mohitkar, Pradip Panchpande, Vasudev Kidile, Sunil Dahare, Kailash Meshram, Shubham Gonde, Wankhede, Sunita Gonde, Nanda Deshmukh, Sunita Jichkar, Vaishali Ramteke, Padma Meshram, Ujjwala Kidele, Ranju Waghmare, Bhagirath Nagpure, Poonam Dahare, Maya Devade, Meera Karve were present.

A 30 Min Diabetes Awareness Rally was also Organised on the Occasion of World Diabetes Day.

The program was a great success. More than 400 persons benefited from the program.
